Brownfields Redevelopment
The U.S. EPA initiated the Brownfields program in 1995 to change the way contaminated property is perceived, addressed, and managed. The program’s goal is to increase the redevelopment of properties that have complications due to environmental contamination. Many brownfields properties are found in neglected urban areas. Ceres Associates works with qualified teams of architects, developers, contractors, and attorneys to redevelop brownfields sites. Brownfields legislation provides for assessment grants, loans, and cleanup grants to facilitate these important projects. Brownfields projects often contribute to significant economic revitalization of the area
